FAQ
I have gotten some
questions regarding my photography. They are such valid questions, and I feel
everyone should ask them any time they think of using a new photographer, so I
am going to post my response here, as well as do an actual post about them.
What is your
preferred style of photography?
I would have to
say that I prefer to take natural photos. I like to be outdoors with my clients
in order to get them in a natural light. There is so much to be said for seeing
the genuine emotion in a picture when it is not bombarded
by studio effects.
Do you work from a
shot list?
The answer here,
is a resounding... Sort of. I guarantee a set number of poses for different
sessions based on what the session is and how many people are in it. For family
pictures, I will always do the large family shot, mom and dad together, and
each child on their own. If there are other shots that you would like such as
mom and the boys, or mom and the girls, and dad with the boys, and dad with the
girls, I have absolutely no problem shooting those. I generally like to do
them, but if they aren't your cup of tea, we don't have to.
Can I request
certain images or poses?
Yes, yes, a
thousand times yes! I love it when you bring your ideas to the table. if they
are particularly involved, I would love to hear about them beforehand so that I
know if I need to bring anything to modify my equipment.
What is included
in your packages?
Please check out
my pricing page.
It has a breakdown of what you can expect for your money.
Do you limit the
amount of photos you will edit?
No. I will edit
every photo. You may not see every photo, but I will. I always go through each
and make all corrections and enhancements. I will also apply a filter to all of
the final images in sepia or black and white depending on your preference. I can
do both for an additional fee. I do all of this so that you never have to spend
time looking through photos to make sure that you print the one that everyone
is looking the right direction in. I do offer a blooper reel for an additional
fee if some of your photos are particularly funny.
Do I receive a
disc of my photos or do I have to order all prints through you?
You get a disc.
You get a print release. It's all yours baby! Once I send you a final product,
it's up to you to do what you will with it. I do offer some photo products (for
an additional fee) if you order them before hand such as sign in books.
How long does it
take to get my photos back?
Generally I will
have them mailed out within 1-2 weeks.
Will you use my
photos for advertising?
Not necessarily,
but there is a chance that I will. I want all of my photography to be gorgeous,
but that being said, I will not use every photo for advertising. I may use it
in my portfolio for when clients come to visit, but not everything needs
to be on the web. If you are uncomfortable with it being used, we can discuss
that, and I can leave them off of the web page.
Who are you? I'm Jenn.
I'm an adventurer, an avid soccer fan (we're here for RSL), a mother, a
wife, a crafter, a blogger, and a photographer. I LOVE yarn, scrap booking,
reading, and an occasional fancy soda. I work with in health care and would
trade that for the world.
Why I chose to photography: Looking
into my sweet children's eyes, I often want stop time, and that is where my
love of photography blossomed into an art. Why not stop that time for everyone?
My Philosophy: My opinion
on taking photos for people is that it should be a reflection of the people in
the photo, not me. I try to incorporate your style, and your essence into every
photo shoot that I do. I once read a quote that, although I couldn't find a
specific person to attribute it to, it stuck with me.
"Take pride in what makes you
different. Individuality is what divides you from the rest".
I am located in
Davis County,Utah but work out of Davis, Weber, and Salt Lake Counties at no
extra charge. I will shoot as far north as Logan, Utah and as far south as
Provo / Orem, Utah, but an additional fee will apply for travel.
